In our industry it is vital to give our clients the best opportunity to use everything they pay for. That is why we probe the market for the best possible product to do the job at hand.
Product selection starts by probing the agents and before product is received into the warehouse it is inspected again to make sure the product is what is required.
All product is sourced from suppliers that are certified by various food safety organizations and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in order to provide the necessary health certificates which are a requirement for export.
With ever changing weather patterns and growing conditions, we have found that product from various regions can fluctuate in quality from season to season. Because of this awareness we buy product on what is presented not on reputation.
On occasions when we have rejected product, agents have responded by telling us that our competitors have accepted what we have sent back. We are quite happy to hear these comments as it is testament to our stringent selection policy and we are quite happy to wear the “John West” tag if it means we are doing the best for our clients.
